During the last weeks I got confronted with an unusual patient from a colleague. A NAD amplifier where the left channel failed after some hours of playback. Well, I have to admit I hate issues like that, it is easier if something is not working rather than waiting hours for it to fail. Well, and as soon as you want to measure something with the oscilloscope it is back on. Anyway, it took me some time but it seems the amplifier is back working.
Oh, and if you remember my last post and the CD555 in the latter pictures… I finally bought it for a cheap price to get some spare parts. The device is in the most catastrophic condition I have ever seen! Even some buttons are melted. No idea how you can treat anything this way. Think it’s worth a video and try to bring it back to life.
Although, I still haven’t finished my latest unboxing video about the brand new device. Too many things beside this project – like resurrection my PLAYBOX Entertainment System which requires new developments and also the new job keeps me busy. For the next days I am off to a manager training in Switzerland…
In the meantime the CD-Player of one of my CD555 failed again, waiting to get repaired.
And just if you are wondering why it was sooo silent during the last months – I also got married and preparation of the celebration took a lot of my spare time 🙂
