Now it is getting serious – we are disassembling unit #3. In this case a video it really helpful and shows the steps I took to remove all the parts. Usually you might to take notes or remember which screw you took from which part of the device but in this case the machine already got opened and the screws might not be at the place where they belong. Because of this fact, I put all into one box, sort them later and reassemble them according to the service manual. There is a page with an explosion drawing – really useful. I do not think that nowadays service manuals do have the same quality and details as those from Philips in the eighties.

In the video I also removed the CD lid and disassembled the buttons. This might not be necessary since I also run into troubles and somehow the panels blocked and I destroyed one bracket. Nothing dramatically since I can fix it, but if the parts are not getting apart easily then live them as they are.
