Back to the 80s

Produced from 1986 to 1987 the Philips CD555 was a – back those days so called – boombox, a sound machine you can carry with you wherever you go. Although, with a weight of more than 10kg without the battery pack (another 13kg) you should better take a lorry with you…

CD Player CDM2/29 and 2xTDA1540P

Based on the CD150 the programable CD-Player consists of two 14Bit A/D converter TDA1540P and allowed a direct copy from CD to tape.

μ-Processor controlled autoreverse tape deck

During this time a μ-Processor controlled tape deck has been a real innovation. Playback could be programmed like as for an Audio-CD. Quick autoreverse, Dolby-B and synchronous record from CD.

HiFi-Sound

Although there were no special amplifier circuits included the speakers made of wood and the two TDA2030 produce a gorgeous sound at 2x25Watts.
