It took a while but finally, the new power supply is finished. Well, already finished a couple of weeks ago but I have been way too busy in my job for any further hobbies.
The least, the prototype is running fine without any troubles so I am confident the final release will also work. I just need to find some time to replace the power supply in one of my Sound Machines…
The aim was to reduce the amount of electronics that fail very often in the original powere supply. Removing the parts responsible for the external battery pack – which I considered as not really necessary – and replacing different circuits to switch the CD on/off with relays helped to do the job.
So both, the new power supply, as well as the final CPU board, are waiting for assembly…
