Unfortunately some parts in Markus’s machine are broken and needed a solution. The soft eject gear of the CD tray was broken. The mechanism itself was ok but the brackets to hold it in place got broken. After some thoughts and several tries I came up with a printed bracket that holds the soft eject gear in place. It fits perfect and works absolutely great.
On the other hand, to replace the broken buttons of the CD Player became a real challenge. The buttons are only connected by a thin piece of plastic bracket which can easily break after 35 years. I designed a bracket which can be inserted into the given plastic holder. It keeps itself in place and contains a kind of holder for the button, which can be mounted with some hot glue onto the bracket.
The buttons are now in line and fixed as original. Although they feel a little bit different.
Both parts can be downloaded in the CAD File section.
